Natalia Orlova is a real representative of the modern romantic music. She is not only an opera singer, but she is also a composer, poet and actress. The romantic ballads of her own composition touch the deep feelings of the human soul and reflect the real emotions of the heart. When performing on the stage – in opera or in the concert - Natalia fascinates the audience not only with her voice, but also with the sincerity and the profound perception of music and lyrics.

She graduated the Rimskiy-Korsakov musical college of St. Petersburg as an opera singer, and then she received her bachelor degree as an actress of the musical theater in the Theater Arts Academy.

Natalia composes poems since she is a teenager. Later she started to compose music transforming her poems into songs. She fluently speaks several European languages and she writes lyrics in English, French, and Italian. Some of her songs have two or three language versions. So when singing in different countries she chooses the language of her audience.

She started her career as a concert singer performing with small ensembles, or just with one accompaniment (piano, harp, accordion or guitar). Her repertoire of that time was focused mainly on the ancient romances and lyric songs. Getting mature she started to sing the operatic repertoire. She performed with the State Academic Symphonic Orchestra and the conductor Arkadiy Shteinluht, with the Russian Academic Symphonic Orchestra of the Big Philarmonic Hall, conductor - Sviatoslav Luter, with the Radio-Television Orchestra, conductor - Timur Gorkovenko, with the State Russian Academic orchestra named after V.Andreev, conductor – Dmitriy Hohlov, Aleksandr Miliutin.

In 2014 she made her opera debut in “Eugene Onegin” as Tatiana Larina. In 2015 she sang Violetta Valery in “La Traviata”. For 2016 she is preparing the roles of Iolanta in the opera “Iolanta” and Adina in the opera “The Elixir of Love” with the conductor Aleksandr Chernov. The premiers will be in May and in September in Finland.

Apart of her opera roles she continues her concert career in Russia and other countries. She was performing in Canada at the Basilique Notre-Dame de Montreal with her solo concert dedicated to the Remembrance Day (2010). She performed in Art-Monaco at the Gala evening with the program of romantic ballads (2011). She was singing at the Cannes Film festival with the special program of her own composition (2011). She gave 3 concerts at the Sochi Olympic Games with the special program of Russian songs (2014). And of course she regularly performs in her native city – St.Petersburg.

In 2010 the album “The songs of Love” was released at the record label “Bomba-Piter”. Natalia composed both lyrics and music for all the songs and recorded them with piano, guitar, violin and accordion.

In 2012 the album “The charm of France” (“French songs”) was released at the record label Alpha. The French poetry of the 19th century inspired Natalia Orlova to compose music to the lyrics of Victor Hugo, Alfred de Musset, Alphonse de Lamartine, Marceline Desbordes-Valmore… She performs these French songs with the piano accompaniment.

Natalia Orlova is the founder and the artistic director of the annual festival “Music of Love” in Finland – since 2013 and in Russia since 2015.
